Every `Where` address is created by an agent on the ground, standing at the exact point where the address is created. This is the point where a walkway or driveway to a property starts or branches from the public road.
At that point, geo-coordinates data is captured, and our system generates a sequential number. The end result is an address comprising of the unique sequential number, road name, region, and county. If the number generated is on the right side while moving from the road’s origin, it is assigned an odd number. If it is on the left, it is assigned an even number.
The Importance of Sequential Address Numbering
Sequential addresses are important because they provide a clear and organized way to identify locations. By assigning sequential numbers to addresses, it becomes easier to navigate through an area and locate specific addresses in a logical order.
This sequential numbering system helps emergency services, delivery personnel, and visitors to find addresses efficiently. It also aids in maintaining accurate records and ensuring that no addresses are missed or duplicated within a given area.
The Importance of Including Sides in Address Numbering
Differentiating the side of the road where the address is created enables easier and more efficient navigation. For instance, if an address number is even, a driver or a person walking will know that the address is definitely on the left side and won’t need to check the right side. The same applies if an address number is odd; one only needs to check the right side.
The Importance of Being Physically Present When Creating an Address
Being physically present when creating an address is important for several reasons.
- It allows us to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the address data created. Our agents can observe the process firsthand, ask questions, and clarify any uncertainties, which can help prevent errors or omissions.
- It enables agents to identify issues or discrepancies and take corrective actions in real time.
- Lastly, being physically present demonstrates our commitment and accountability to the address-creation process.
The addresses we create are used to deliver critical emergency services; therefore, we must ensure they are as accurate and reliable as possible.
